Deep cherry red of high intensity, with vivid highlights. Very dense legs. Highly intense aromas, with toasted, smoked and cedar notes predominating. Aeration reveals its complexity: hints of candied fruit, as well as mineral and balsamic (pine nuts and fallen leaves) notes, pepper, cocoa and roast beef.
Pleasant, voluptuous mouth feel, with very mature tannins lending it an appealing structure. Well-balanced, with acidity adding freshness. Very long, pleasant finish, with hints of dried fruit, toasted almonds and walnuts.
