Wine Notes
Château Vieux Roland is a blend of 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc from 50 year old vines grown in clay-limestone soils.
The wine is fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks to preserve the purity of fruit and terroir expression. Mid ruby in color with purple highlights. On the nose, aromas of fresh blackberries, red casis and raspberries plume from the glass intermingled with a sublt spice note.
The palate is lively and fresh with soft tannins and an integrated acidity that carry the fresh fruit flavors into a refreshing finish. Enjoy with lamb chops, beef stew or cured meats.
